After breakfast, set off on a tour of the Bocag Farm in the village of Bouère set in a historic setting consisting of the outbuildings of the Petite S&eacacute;vaudière castle and its 19thcentury farmhouse. Take a tour of the 35-cow dairy farm and its traditional farm animals, including ditch goats, Ouessant sheep, Cotentin ducks, pigs, rabbits, chickens, geese and ducks. Agnès Bontemps owns a farm on a human scale with an activity that includes the lifting of animals and the production of cow's milk, which is open to the public. It has therefore decided to open its doors wider to raise awareness of the need to improve animal welfare and to raise awareness of animal husbandry among children. This incredible animal refuge, created 45 years ago, takes in more than 1,500 animals from the local wildlife found injured, mistreated or abandoned. The incredible team led by Christian Huchedé (founder of the refuge) care for them, look after them and pamper them on a daily basis. Here the animals are not hand-picked, they are welcomed for their sometimes chaotic histories and just want to be loved!
