La cit&e; du lait - Lactopôle® offers you an authentic journey to the heart of the dairy tradition. You'll be amazed by its unique collection of over 4,000 items spread over 5,000m2. Embark on an astonishing industrial adventure in the midst of this unique museum, which is regarded as an educational space for the very young, raising awareness of dairy products, their history and the heritage that is such an integral part of our county. Enjoy and learn more about the world of milk and its evolution on an interactive, multi-media and multi-sensory tour. The visit concludes with a tasting session!

1/ Visit to the Pontmain Contemporary Art Centre
Three seasonal exhibitions are on offer, featuring solo and group shows, works created specifically for the venue and works from private and public collections. Spring will see the debut of two young artists in residence over the winter, followed in summer by a solo exhibition by an established artist;and finally, a group and thematic exhibition in autumn, thanks to loans from public collections (Fracs, Fnac, artothèques..) and private collections (galleries, artists...).

2/ Visit to the mémorial des déportés de la Mayenne
A unique feature of the region, this place of remembrance is a must-see when visiting Mayenne. Sent to the Nazi concentration and extermination camps, this memorial pays tribute to those who died in Mayenne.
