Visit the unusual Robert Tatin museum in Cossé-le-Vivien
In 1962, the artist returned to his native land to express his talent and his art: monumental works with poetic names were created. Nestling in the heart of the Mayenne bocage, this atypical museum conveys the travels, artistic influences and cultures that Robert Tatin covered throughout his career.
Wander between the dragon, the garden of méditations, the allée of the 19 géants, the field of sculptures and much moreà découvrir. The temporary exhibition room "La Grange" keeps the site in constant motion. Close to nature, the artist wanted to blend it with culture to convey this harmony to visitors. A five-hectare garden offers a range of soothing spaces filled with contemporary sculptures. The butterfly sanctuary, orchard and solidarity fountain are rooted in local culture and demonstrate a deep respect for the environment. It's a message that the author of the site wanted to pass on to the general public.
