Saulges is a "Petite cité de caractère" (small town, churches, Merovingian necropolis). The Erve valley, a Natura 2000 site, is also renowned for its prehistoric caves. The site will delight hikers, mountain bikers and trail runners, with its varied paths, crags and Japanese steps. FFME-approved climbing site. And don't forget the prehistory museum, with workshops and events for all ages. Shops and services: in Ballée (6km) or Vaiges (13km). Hiking from the gîte. In summer, swimming is possible near the oratory of Saint-Céneré (3km).
