The location is ideal for visiting the northern and central parts of Mayenne, or even for a trip to Brittany: 25 minutes from Vitré or 1h20 from Mont Saint Michel.
In Mayenne, don't miss the city of Laval, its castle, museums, park, markets and of course the Christmas Lights in December/January. Stroll through the Petites cités de caractère (small towns of character) such as Chailland (15 min), Saint Pierre sur Erve, Parné sur Roc or the famous Sainte Suzanne. If you're a history buff, the Mayenne is home to the Chouanerie, and the Jean Chouan museum is just 1.5km from the gîte.
Shops are in the centre of St Ouen des Toits 2.5km away (full grocery and bakery, restaurants) or in Bourgneuf la Forêt (4km).
