The Coupeau campsite, near Laval, offers lodges and cabins suited to travellers on foot, by bike or simply looking for peace and quiet in the countryside.
Laval is a Trail and Gravel resort offering 11 Trail routes and 6 Gravel routes of varying difficulty and mileage. Each trail can be downloaded from the On piste app.
It's also a city of art and history and an area where there's always something going on: theatre and music festivals, exhibitions, sporting events, Christmas lights and Espace Mayenne, which hosts sporting and cultural events.
The campsite is 25 minutes from the Halte fluviale de Laval (7km) and the Vélo Francette® linking La Rochelle to Ouistréam. A signposted link from Changé takes you to the campsite and the Laval - Renazé greenway.
These simple, comfortable lodges overlook the Bois de Coupeau, on the banks of the river Le Vicoin, for a peaceful stay in a natural setting.
Hiking trails start from the campsite.
The campsite has the "Accueil Vélo" label.
Shops: the campsite has a shop selling local produce. In the centre of Saint-Berthevin, 700m away, all shops, restaurants and services.
For your leisure activities, you will find in the woods: children's games, a climbing wall, a boules pitch, picnic tables, the Petit Saint-Berthevin cave and the possibility of fishing with a federal fishing licence (on sale on the federation's website).
The lodge - Size 2.70*2.70m, with a small terrace - Equipment: 2 single beds (80*190) and a bedside table. The mattresses are protected by a sheet and a fitted sheet, the pillow has a pillow protector. Nearby: electric hook-up - drinking water.
Access to campsite toilet block: shower and WC. Washing machine (€4) and tumble dryer (€3).
