Chéméré-le-Roi is a small village in the Mayenne region with a rich historic centre around the church, narrow streets and houses built of marble stone and ochre roughcast. This small gîte, on the 1st floor of a 19th century house, offers a charming rustic atmosphere.
You're at the gateway to the Sarthe, 20 minutes from Sablé-sur-Sarthe, or 30 minutes from both Laval and Château-Gontier in Mayenne.
For your leisure activities, the Coëvrons hiking trails offer an area of unspoilt nature, a prehistoric site, the Saulges caves: a museum with a very modern scenography, Aurochs cows graze in the meadows, as well as Ouessans sheep. There is no shortage of cultural and architectural attractions in this part of the Mayenne.
