Le Plessis aux oiseaux is an exceptional house in terms of size, services, decoration and comfort. It has everything you need to spend an exceptional time with family or friends. The property offers a vast house of almost 200m² with a 45m² fitted kitchen and dining room, a vast 36m² living room and 5 bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor with its own private shower room. To keep the whole family busy, there's a terrace area with a 5m x 9m above-ground, unheated swimming pool, a games room with table tennis and darts, and a swing for the younger guests.
This is also an ideal site to share for business stays, with plenty of space for socialising and privacy: 5 bedrooms, 4 shower rooms.
From the gîte, you'll be amazed by the Mayenne.
Starting with Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne, a town renowned for the quality of its public gardens (town at the origin of the towns and villages in bloom), the Refuge de l'arche, a wildlife park specialising in wild animals, the water-ski resort on the Mayenne, or the marina and Canotika where you can hire boats or bikes to explore the locks on the Mayenne and the Chemin de Hallage, known as the Vélo Francette. Château-Gontier also has a national cultural venue, le Carré, at the Pôle culturel des Ursulines. It hosts a number of high-profile festivals, including the V&B Fest and the Festival de la BD.
The Mayenne is also a horse-racing region, with races at Craon, Le Lion d'Angers, Meslay-du-Maine and Laval. There are 11 racecourses in all.
Art lovers should visit the Musée d'art naïf de Laval (MANA), a tribute to the Douanier Rousseau, and the Musée Robert Tatin in Cossé-le-Vivien, as well as the temporary exhibitions in the gardens of the châteaux and manor houses of the Mayenne.
